What is COVID-19 ?

The new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19 was first encountered in Wuhan city of China on December 19. 

In below photo, it is a "mu virus" belonging to the coronavirus family and it has claimed over 3300 lives and 93000 registered cases globally and most in China.

The name Covid-19 was first announced on 11 February by the World Health Organization. The Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said; "We had to find a name that did not refer to a geographical location, an animal, an individual or group of people, and which is also pronounceable and related to the diseases, Having a name matters to prevent the use of other names that can be inaccurate or stigmatizing."        
It spread by SARC-COV 2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome CoronaVirus-2)  

How diseases can spread?             
The diseases can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when a person with  COVID-19 cough.

Most of such viruses are common among animal but rarely animal-based coronavirus mutates and successfully find a human host.
According to WHO, human to human transmission occurred threw droplets or object making contact that means the potential of spreading the virus is very high.
The symptoms may include fever, cold, shortness of breath, etc. as it now no certified vacancies are available. The major issue of the virus is it is contagious even before the patient exhibits any symptoms.

This type of diseases is mainly caused by zoonotic pathogens that means of animal origin. Such an outbreak of zoonotic diseases is not new. Human has faced the number of the outbreak of zoonotic diseases.

For Example: Swine flue, Eoola, MERS (Middle Eastern Repository Syndrome), SARS(Saviour Accused Repository Syndrome), Nipah, Novel corona

According to WHO (world health organization), when there is close mixing of humans and animal species the unregulated handling of blood and other body products, as it happens in china's animal markets. there are greater chances of transmission of wire from animals to humans and its mutation to adapt to new human bodies.

At present Ministry of Health and Family, welfare has registered 31 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection however, the situation is not required to panic about but contagious characteristic of the virus, the ministry has suggested people continue with normal hygiene practice, distancing your self from other population, avoiding mass gathering etc...

The economic impact may be a saviour because of the global outbreaks, the number of government has taken steps to seize the borders, suspending the visas and reducing import exports.

The open border with Nepal is a major concern as Nepal has registered a number of cases of novel corona infection.

The way forward to deal with this recent outbreak and any such outbreak in future

1) Mass awareness without entrancing rumors and increasing panic
2) Isolated ward facilities in hospitals must be developed.
3) A nationwide diseases surveillance program needs to be strengthened.
 for example:- right now at least 28000 people in India under surveillance for potential infection. This figure is subject to change in upcoming days
4) To deal with long term challenges, a robust public-private model is required in India's biotech sector. 

Above information and numbers of infected people will be change in coming times. Here only tried to show the seriousness and precaution for this pandemic.

    1. Right now, actually we have only one laboratory in pune to identify corona .
      So, government are working to establish more laboratory in Gujarat and other state.
